The Process

Our Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Chelchele G1 Washed is sourced from the Chelchele area, where coffee cherries are hand-picked at peak ripeness and carefully washed to preserve the bean’s natural clarity, aroma, and character. From there, each bean is carefully bagged based on purity. Only the finest beans receive the G-1 markings and continue to processing and roasting.

Grown at elevations of approximately 6,200 to 7,200 feet (1,900 to 2,200 meters) above sea level, the cherries ripen gradually in Ethiopia’s cool mountain air.
